More information about HD Free For Life
From 6/3/2010, new and existing customers can join Dish Network's "HD
free for life" program. Currently Dish Network has over 100 HD
channels. HD local channels are free to all customers. HD add-on
regular price is $10/month. HD Platinum is $10/month.
To participate in the "HD free for life" program, you need to:
- Order AT120 or higher package - Commit to 24 months service for
AT120 (or higher) programming package. - Sign up paperless bill
with auto pay
If you sign up the paperless billing with auto pay , DISH will
automatically charge your credit or debit card on the monthly due date
for all charges incurred, including monthly programming fees and any
other charges that you might incur such as pay-per-view fees, early
cancellation / termination fees, equipment fees, and other similar
non-recurring charges. You agree to contact DISH at least 7 days
prior to the due date to make any changes to your auto-pay status
If you join the “HD free for life” program, a prorated
cancellation fee of $10.00 will be charged to the credit card used to
qualify for each month remaining on the HD for life commitment if
disconnecting within the commit period. Please note
that this 24-month commitment is not the contract for the account. It
is only for the "HD free for life". For existing customers, even you
no longer have any contract for your Dish Network account, you will
sign a new 24-month contract for the "HD free for life". If you are a
new customer, you basically will sign two 24-month contracts. One is
for Dish Network account, another one is for "HD free for life". If
you want to get "HD free for life" but do not want to sign a 24-month
contract for this, you can pay $99 activation fee to get the "HD free
for life". In this case if you drop the AT120 package anytime, there
will be no penalty. You can also pay the regular price of $10 per
month to get HD signal without signing any contract.
If a customer who activated under the DHA-24 promotion (which is
subject to a $420 prorated cancellation fee) and participated in the
“HD Free for Life” offer (which is subject to a $240 prorated
cancellation fee) disconnects, what amount of cancellation fee will
they be subject to? Answer: The customer would be subject to
only the cancellation fee (prorated) that has the greatest amount owed
at the time the customer’s account is disconnected.
You are
committing to Dish service for 24 months with autopay and E-statement
to get HD for Life. If paperless billing is removed you may be charged
the full price for HD programming
