Did you know you can add an external hard drive (EHD) to a model ViP® 211/k receiver to give it DVR capabilities, or to a model ViP 612, ViP 622 or ViP722/k receiver to increase its storage capacity! Best of all, there is no monthly fee associated with an EHD, just a one-time activation fee of $40! Keep in mind that customers who want to activate an EHD to archive content on a DVR receiver and an EHD to convert a non-DVR receiver will be charged one $40 activation fee for each. DISH Network does not sell EHD equipment, but most brand-name manufactured EHDs are compatible! A minimum 50GB of storage is required.
